Ok i meet my x at this golf course i use to work at and my brother still does work there and we hit it off and we started dating and she was the first person i had sex with. and after a month it was all good she wanted to come to indiana and meet my parents and go on vacation and all these plains and i went to her high school graduation and play on her brothers softball team and i painted her hole room in her new house that she was moving in to and one day we were siting in her room waiting on the cabal guy and i said u mean the world to em and she got all wired and pulled back and was not the same to me so i broke up with her and then realized thats not what i wanted and i am that type of person where if u dont text me back i keep texting because it annoyes me. but she went off to the lake and said she wanted time to think and she comes back and said she is not feeling it and more and i was so hurt i went back home to indiana to be with my friends and i find out she had fucked some other guy. what i am asking is how do i find some one better then her because it to me is killing me in side thinking about it i see her all them time and it sucks because she acts like it does not effect her at all. and her mom said give her time she will realize what she lost. so people what do i do wait and try and talk to her or just dont do anything at all???????? more

I am the catcher for my high school softball team and since then (about 8 weeks ago), my left knee aches. It always aches when i'm sitting with it bent at a 90 degree angle for an extended period of time. It also will just randomly start aching throughout the day and then it goes away. It also hurts when I do lunges. I can run fine. Should I go to the doctor? Is this serious or not? more

Open Question: There's a guy that acts all tough around everyone but i think he likes me and i like him!?

I like this guy that is on the middle school guy basketball team and i'm on the girls we're in the same grade. Him and his brother cuss when they get mad like lets say if you prank call them... He likes girls who are not shy and I kind of fit into that category. At a high school baskeetball game I told my little cousin who is in 5th grade now to go and annoy him (my friend and i thought it would be funny) well he started to cuss her out. i got pissed and went and told him him to leave her alone and that kristen and i were just playing a joke. well he told her to leave him alone and left. He said nothing to me. I went over to my friend adeline's house just recently and we prank called him it lasted a good 3 hours and he didn't know who i was eventually he told me he liked this girl i knew and so he made me promise not to tell who it was and made me tell him who i was. well two weeks later we prank called him again and he got pissed unlike the first time. and he still didn't know who we were and he cussed me out. i asked what the hell his problem was and right b4 that i told him I was in his honors classes. well after i asked what his problem was he said none of the girls in his honors class cussed. i told him i just did and he hung up. I saw him at thepool the next day and he said hey as soon as i walked in and hung out with me the whole day. i don't know what to do. i mean not only is he shorter than me (i'm 5' 7) but he acts tough. but hes always acted like that and i'm used to it, but I really fit in when i'm around him. i mean i';m not a girly girl like some of the girls on the bball team and i'm not a softball player like the rest. I tend to hang out with the guys and he is one of the ones i fit in with please help me i need advice. i probably sound stupid but i can't go to anyone i know for help! okay. let me reword this u have the wrong idea. He is a nice guy. He cusses, he acts tough, but he's a good guy. I cuss, I'm not the sweetest person in the world but I'm a good person and so is he. Oh and to make myself clear I am not one of those physco maniacs who loves bad people if u thans that get ur butt off my page... So I got friendly with a team member on my softball team. We spoke during a break in between games and it seems as though he really likes me now. He knows I have a bf already though so than why does it seem like he wants to pursue something? He mentioned how we should get together sometime, so I keep saying well yes with a group of people and he says no just me and him. Now I think that seems odd b/c he knows I have a bf so why would he make suggestions like that. Now I regret talking to him, he seemed like a nice guy who just wanted to be friends but it seems like he wants more in a weird way. What do you think? Okay so in order to get advice I need to play out some details. I am 16 and play very competitive softball. I have played on the same team for 5 years, but the last 2 or so our team has been deteriorating, and our coach is just a complete idiot. Most of our team is breaking up next year, and I really want to be on a strong team, because I am a very strong player. (not to sound arrogant). I have considered switching teams because I love the coaches of a team about 20 minutes away. The problem is they have girls that play the position I play and are very loyal to them. I'm pretty good sewing, and I know there are about 0 patterns out there for them (if you can find me one I'll give you best answer!). Could I try designing a regular glove with a big space betweent the thumb and fingers? I could make it out of something like denim, then pad it with cotton? Just some basic ideas, if you have more please post them! I'm not on a team or anything (yet). But I would like to be able to play without a dead animal hanging on my hands and without my hands turning black and blue! Thanks to all of you who try to help! Let me add that I've found the carpentertrade website, but I'm not ready to shell out that kind of $$. Maybe if I get more serious about it, but not right now. I'm willing to try, just looking for suggestions. And I've been playing bare handed, so I know how bad it hurts, so thats why I want to try a glove. Happened twice with a fast one, one time it gave me a half dollar size purple bruise with the rest of my palms blackish and the other time it bent my fingers back. I want some protection. And I'm totally against a leather one. Let me clarify: not just denim like a winter glove... like sew a baseball glove form out of denim, then take a cotton winter glove and add more padding to it. then join the two into one. so i could still move my hand and stuff, but it would pad it a little bit. I know they make them out of leather/special synthetics for a reason. I'm absolutly not going to use a leather one, and I'm not paying $300 for a synthetic! If you're trying to help me, please do answer, but if you're just going to tell me its too hard and to use a leather one, forget it. If you want to say , "Yes it's hard, but remember to add plenty of padding." then I'll be happy for your help. Thank You more

Open Question: Headaches everyday for 10 weeks?

I'm 15 and i've been getting random headaches throughout the day for more than 10 weeks. They change in how badly they hurt and how long they last. They are have gotten to the point that when I would get them at school, i wouldn't be able to concentrate on what was going on. I went to the doctor about 4 weeks into getting the headaches and he put me on some medicine but it didn't help at all. If anything, the headaches just started getting worse. I have been under some stress lately and probably to the point of depression but the headaches started before that whole 'phase'. I've also had a lot of problems remember things from the past couple months. During a softball game a ball was hit to me and i saw it coming towards me, but then i was laying on the ground. My team mates said that I had dove for the foul ball but i honestly don't remember doing it. After that happened, I started shaking and my headache was pounding and I felt sick. But I couldn't stop shaking, it was almost like I didn't have control of my body. More recently i've been getting a sensitive spot on my head that hurts when touched and it's kind of 'mushy' you could say. My mom thought that it might be my eyes that are giving me the headaches but I went to the eye doctor yesterday and we asked him about it and he said that it is a possibility, but it is very highly unlikely that it was the cause. My mom still wants to wait till i've had my glasses for a while to see if they help but I don't think that I can wait that long. I've heard food is a cause of headaches often, but I also have had irritable bowel syndrome for about a year and a half now so i'm kind of forced into eating healthy. I sometimes take advil or some medicine like that but it usually doesn't work and just makes my stomach hurt. Does anybody have any ideas on what is should do? more

i'm going into 9th grade and i'm going to try out for softball. i was on a team when i was 11 (i'm 14 now) but i've been going to batting cages a lot and practicing catching/throwing with my moms friend who used to be a baseball coach. i'm in a softball camp right now thats through my school.. i can catch well, and i always hit the ball to the fence of the softball field, i have a strong throw, but it isn't very accurate, i'm going to practice my throwing a lot more and i'm getting better everyday, what else should i know in order to make it to the softball team? and what are softball try outs like..what happens during softball try outs? more

Open Question: Ok is it weird to receive a gift from my gf's husband?

Ok I have been working with my girlfriends husband coaching a softball team for the past couple of months. I know they have been having marital problems but my girlfriend has told me her husband despises people who cheat. Ok off track a little but this is my reasoning for feeling weird. Today when he picked up his daughter from my house his daughter noticed a bag in the car. He said no no leave that in there and she said daddy it has (My name ) on it. So he said bring it here so pulled out the card he grabbed it and gave me the bag. It was some body lotion, he said he likes it..and that was it nothing else. It was really weird my husband was at the door too with me...my husband asked what was that about, I honestly wasn't sure myself but I said I think he must of wanted to thank me for helping him coach...is this weird or what???? We don't know each other that well and I'm not sure how to take this...should i just say errr what ever or should i say something to him. yeah it was body butter.... more

I am a cheerleader and i feel like i am the biggest one on the team. I am 5'7 and i weigh ALOT (160) what are the best ways to loose weight i mean i am on a diet. Morning; Egg Sandwich Lunch; Dry cereal, or a gronala bar. Snacks; In between practices a gronala bar. Dinner, Usally a salad or sometype of meat with rice. I am very active i go to cheer practice& then softball in one day. I don't know what i am doing wrong. Open Question: My Step-sister is CRAZY! Help please?

The other day my new step-sister came home from her job. (She's 19 and I'm 16.) She was complaining about how bad her feet hurt, so I offered to give her a foot massage. She accepted it, and a few days passed with some kinda weird things. Now, she keeps calling me her "foot servant" and asks me to like massage and wash her feet all the time. This morning I woke up and she had even put a pair of her dirty soccer socks on my face, because she later told me "she honestly thought I would like it." And then later today I was laying on the floor watching some TV and she liked pinned me on the ground and put her feet on my face and wouldn't let me up for like half an hour! What the heck? I kinda figured I'd do what she asked the first couple times, just to get on her good side and make sure we got along well, but things are going crazy! She's an only child, and like captain of the soccer and softball teams at school, so maybe she's just stuck up, but she doesn't listen to me when I ask her to stop! What can I do? I don't think she'd listen to our parents either... HELP!?!? more

Open Question: I've liked this guy for two years but...?

I liked a guy at my yg(youth group) for almost 3 years. Then I thought he was interested in this other girl that had been hanging around our yg recently. That was in like march. Then she started coming to our teams softball games and such so I assumed they were/are together. But then this week he starts realizing I exist and even flirting a little. I don't get it!!!! He always aknowledged I existed until the other girl started coming around. Then he didn't even so much as say hi when we saw eachother. I've liked him then I found out he was being nasty to one of my friends which for me is a big turn off. So I decided he wasn't worth it and tried and finally suceeded at letting him go. I really want to get better at softball. i played on a rec team for two years and i'll be a freshman in highschool and i want to do good. i go to the batting cages every week, but i need to know what else i can do. exersizes, drills, ect. and i have to be able to do the drills by my self. my family will play catch with me but they get tired too quick. also i play on riding my bike 3 miles about 3 or 4 times a week, is that good conditioning or should i do it more days? thanks! more

Open Question: I think I have Crohn's Disease or an ulcer something?

I'm only 15 and have been having stomach aches after I eat (when I eat EVERYTHING) for about 4 weeks. Before that I was fine. Now I'm falling apart. I have blood, not in my stool, but it comes additionally with it. I've been to the doctor and she checked for any fissures and there wasn't any or swelling. So they want to do blood work and they drew blood yesterday. I'm lactose Intolerant already. I'm worried the most because I've been having weight loss recently (before I was 100 lbs now I'm 95). I want to gain the weight back! What do you guys think is wrong? Any personal experiences? I'm a healthy girl otherwise, I play soccer, softball, and swim on swim team. thx more

I love field hockey. But the team changed this year. I didn't wanna come back this year because of 2 girls who say they are the best and talk the coach into letting them practically boss around the team. I did join, but 3 new girls decided to also. 1. I'm on a tournament softball team for the whole summer.. and most of the tournaments we play in consists of 2 or more games in one day. this past weekend we had 3 on saturday and 3 on sunday also. then monday we had a double header.. so we played 8 games in 3 days. my thighs started hurting monday morning. and i had basketball practice today... so i havent had a break. it hurts to walk up and down stairs.. or bend down atall. my thighs are killing me. and i need them to be feeling a little less sore by tomorrow for our basketball scrimmage i was thinking about icing them with big freezer bags. but idk if theres anything else i could do better. anyone have any suggestions? please and thanks! more

Okay so the other night a bunch of us girls from the softball team all hung out at our friend/teammates Megan's house. It lasted really late, around 2 or so, and because I live in a different neighborhood and my mom's out of town she had her older bro and his friends drive me home. He was just getting back from some party (we're gonna be sophomores, they all just graduated) and had drive two his friends home anyway. I sat in the back with this guy I really liked all this year (we were on the newspaper together) while their really, really drunk hilarious friend I know from swimming sat in front. As he spent most of it ranting really loudly about random stuff, the guy from newspaper put his arm around me. He was obviously pretty buzzed but not drunk drunk or anything. He then starting softly fingered the part of my tank top where my skin meets my bra and must have felt me flinch or something because he pressed his lips to my ear and whispered, "I know this is getting you tense but I know you like it, because this is the first time some guy other than some loser freshie has touched you like this, as you're squirming you're feeling yourself get wet, and that's perfectly normal, and damnn, you should feel how hot your skin is getting. Ever want something more from a real man and not some asshole from your freshman math class or whatever, you know where to find me." I had really nothing to say, and the whole thing was really really weird, considering this was coming from the really cute, funny, straight A model student I knew from the NEWSPAPER, but at the same time it was hot, but creepy, and then in silence he rubbed up and down my thigh and up a little into my skirt, and I had no idea what to say. my friend always corrects me. she makes me feel really stupid. yesterday i was complimenting this girl on our softball team, and i was like, "yeah she barely swings and the ball goes fifty feet!" i wasnt really thinking, i guess, but my friend started laughing and she was like, "HAHAHA! uhm, fifty feet is to the pitchers mound! HAHAHA!" i just ignored her. she makes me feel really dumb. also, she's always correcting my grammar when we're IMing. is that really necessary? what good is doing her to correct me, when i accidentally said "you're" instead of "your" she says that i do it too, but i really don't because i know how low it makes you feel. i have this feeling she thinks she's better than me, and smarter than me. do you have any advice? more

What’s the call here: Infield fly with thrown glove? Bases loaded no outs. The batter hits a high pop up and the umpire calls “Infield fly, batter’s out.” The ball falls to the ground untouched half way between home and first base. Due to the spin on the ball, it bounces toward foul territory. The first baseman realizes that if the ball bounces foul, the infield fly won’t count and the out won’t count, so he throws his glove at the ball. The thrown glove touches the ball in fair territory. Rule 6.05 (e) says the batter is out when an infield fly is declared. However Rule 7.05 (c) says that the batter and all runners get 3 bases when a fair batted ball is touched by a thrown glove. Obviously you can’t call the ball foul, since it was touched in fair territory, and obviously all the runners are awarded home on the 3 base penalty for the thrown glove touching a batted ball. However, there are two conflicting rules about the batter, one says he’s out, the other says he gets a free pass to 3rd base. Are there any rules, examples, etc in the rule book that specify which rule applies to the batter? If not, how do you rule this? I would have though you give the batter 3rd, since you give the benefit of any doubt to the team that did not commit the illegal action, but I saw an umpire training guide for ASA softball that said the infield fly is still enforced and the batter is out. i feel really stupid at this point in my life. i have a REALLY hard time socializing. i feel like i bore others. i come off as distant, uninteresting and to some, i'm sure, selfish. i recently attended a party with my friend (we're friends only because she's shy too) and it was pathetic. when people talk to me i'm so anxious i can't even be interested in what we're talking about. i'm almost paralyzed with fear. it's paralyzing. i turned 21 years old today, and did pretty much nothing. i had to leave my house because i wanted to create the illusion that i had places to be on my birthday, but really i drove to Barnes N' Noble and read 50 pages of Huckleberry Finn (I thought the story would be distracting). No one cares about me, and it's because of me. i don't know how to let people in because they quite literally terrify me. i don't want to be alone, but this isn't something as simple as 'just be more confident and try'. i am often told to 'get involved', and that this will improve my social skills, but here's the thing about that- i have been involved- from 5-19 years old i played softball, and have been on MANY teams. I never made friends with people on my teams. I have ALWAYS been the odd person out. My teammates were generally nice to me, and often attempted to bring me out of my shell, but naturally had to give up eventually. After their attempts I would just be viewed as an outcast and/or weird from then on. i don't really know what to do about it. today was especially awful because birthday's only emphasize your loneliness if you are someone who is socially inept. not to mention it was my 21st so when i come back home my parents/siblings have to ask me what i did because they only assume "my friends" would have made alcohol related plans for me, or at least done something. it's embarrassing and makes me want to hide myself away even more because i really am a reject and i don't want the world to know what an absolute loser i am. i don't know what's wrong with me other than the fact that my social skills are pitiful, but I hate fearing things like birthdays, of all things, because of something that i don't feel i have any control over. more

Voting Question: GLBT: What's your coming out story?

Well, first of all, I've been a guy all my life. It just took me some time to come to realize it. My first real recollection of expressing to anyone else my sexual orientation was in 4th grade. That was..hmm, let's see..1989. It didn't really go over well. I told my best friend, and by 5th grade, she was determined that she was going to find me a boyfriend. She asked EVERY guy in my class to 'go out' with me. They all said no. They said I was too much like "one of the guys". I first came out as what I thought was "lesbian" back in 1996. I was 16 and in high school. The only people I'd ever heard of or seen in the media that were female bodied, yet looked and acted very masculine, and liked girls were called butch lesbians. So that's what I thought *I* was too. Back then, things weren't "horrible" for GLBT people, but they certainly weren't like they are now. I grew up in a very conservative, redneck, "white trash" type environment in the midwest. Kids in my school were cruel. I was called dyke, bulldyke, carpet muncher, etc. I had kids put their fingers on their heads like horns and "moo" at me. I was pretty much "voted out" of gym class, because girls in my class were afraid I was going to molest them or something, I dunno...big egos I suppose, because I wanted none of them. They were all snooty bi*ches. But whatever. I was in theatre, and after practice other girls in my high school tried to run me over in the parking lot after practice. I had a lot of vindictive sh*t done to me by girls I played with on the softball team. When I graduated high school, I got tired of the abuse, and decided I was going to learn how to stand up for myself. So I joined the Marine Corp. Yeah..when you tell someone you have military combat skills to know how to take down a 300 pound man with one hand, it tends to instill a little fear and intimidation in people. :D But in boot camp, there I saw OTHER very masculine females who had a "I'm not taking sh*t off anyone" type attitude. It was then that I started falling in love with butch women. Omg, they just make me MELT. But, after getting out of the military, and associating with the "lesbian scene", I started to come to realize that this label didn't describe me either. Something wasn't right. Something was missing. I still felt like something inside of me wasn't being exhibited or put out there for others to see just who and what I am. At the age of 18, I started going through spells of serious depression. I was hospitalized in a psych ward 3 times for suicide attempts. I started to really examine my life and my inner being. It was then that I allowed my gender identity issues to surface, and I decided to face them, instead of thinking "oh it's just a phase, it will go away" and ignore it. I first verbalized my thoughts and feelings to my best guy friend, who supported me. He helped me find a therapist and everything. I started seeing a therapist at the age of 19, but at that time it was only for the depression. By the age of 22, the therapy started to focus on my gender dysphoria. At the age of 22, I was diagnosed with GID (Gender Identity Disorder) and began transition. I started with just dressing, presenting, and living as male. By the age of 24, I started testosterone hormones. On my 25th birthday, I legally changed my name to Riley. Now I'm 29, and living 100% as male. I'm in college (a senior..graduate in December) majoring in medical technology, and living life the best way I know how, in a body that finally feels like 'home'. :-) Sorry for the novel, but I came out twice. LOL. Please share your story. more

Voting Question: My mom did something stupid?

Ok, i have 2 little brothers, and they are on a summer softball team. It's been really hot and sunny for weeks now. One of my brothers has gotten slightly darker from being outside at games and practice. Now when i say darker, i don't mean he changed 3 shades or something, because he still has a skin tone similar to tyson beckford. But recently, my mom told him he was getting too "dark" and that being dark was not attractive/cute. Now because she said that, he's been really self-conscience, and we can't get him to go outside to play when we're at home. I just told him an hour ago he should go outside and play, and he said "i'm not going out because i'm already too dark". I was so pissed, because this is my mom's fault. Black people in america don't know what dark is. They think people who are average color are really dark, when their not. i love softball but i love it when im having fun! i have a fast pitch team who is boring and yell when u make one mistake but if they do it too its not their fault? then i have a fun slow pitch team (with adults) who has fun no matter who messes up, all the time they keep saying heave fun thats it, i love them. fast pitch has more compitition and its is technically my schools team.. last year was great with them, but idk what happened!!! idk ijm soo confused my dad said if im that unhappy then quit but i still want to play for them but i dont! Resolved Question: How can I improve softball skills before next year?

I want to try out for the school softball team. I have been playing rec for 3 years and am a decent player. I made it on the all-star team 2/3 times. I play third base and pitcher. What are some drills to increase speed and accuracy when pitching and some drills to increase accuracy and power when throwing to first from third. A little more knowledge on plays from third would be helpful, too. My pitching and throwing are already accurate (can hit 1 foot square target) I just want to get more accurate because apparently the first baseman can't catch the ball unless it lands directly in her glove. Is there a new rule that the sponsor/s do not pay for the new uniforms? In the past the sponsor always paid for the uniforms because we are advising their company or products. This year we had to pay for our hats and two jerseys ; a total of $45.00. I have been playing softball for over twenty years. Are there any other teams out their that to pay also?
